The Day of the Dead (el Día de los Muertos), is a Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink, and celebration. Visiting Mexico during this world-famous event, was a truly magical feeling. We got to witness the event for three days in the capital of Yucatan, Mérida, and were blown away by the colorful decorations, the local dances, and the music that all form this traditional event.
